Our Story
Tender Grassroots was established in December 2019 by its founder, Fatuma Doka, a certified medical practitioner with over three decades of experience working in the United States of America. During her most recent trip to Uganda in October 2019, it became apparent that her years of experience and expertise would be relevant and beneficial in supporting and empowering the most vulnerable in society, hence providing them with better life chances. Whilst the community showed resilience by making the most out of the little income and few facilities at hand, it was clear that they would benefit from getting adequate health facilities and professionals to help combat the health challenges they were facing. Also, the young children in need of food and educational supplies that would enable them to learn under conducive atmosphere. Equipped with this information, TGR was born, with a mandate to give to a new generation’ through various programs centered within these communities.

Margaret O’Sullivan is the Executive Director of Nationalities Service Center, managing one of the largest and most comprehensive providers of services to over 5,000 refugees and immigrants annually in the region.

Peter Seneca
Board Member
Peter is a co-founder of Securitas Global Risk Solutions. He also heads the Credit Solutions department which provides innovative structures that mitigate solvency risk. Prior to Securitas, he was a Vice President of Euler Hermes ACI, the largest mono-line credit insurer in the world.
